Scapes are ready…it is time to harvest them!

 

When do you know when the garlic scapes are ready? The scapes will do a full curl. Simply snap them off at the base with your fingers. Keep them in the fridge (they will keep up to 3 months) or freeze them for future use in your soup, stews, chilis, spaghetti sauces. You can use your scapes in a stirfry, boil them in salty water, grill them on the BBQ, add them to salads,…the possibilities are endless!
